A drug for migraine relief, a medical device for blood vessel tears & 2 more FDA approvals

Here are four drugs or medical devices that have been approved by the FDA since Sept. 14:

1. Teva Pharmaceutical won FDA approval for Ajovy, an injection given to patients every few months to relieve migraines.

2. PK Papyrus Covered Coronary Stent System is a medical device for the treatment of acute coronary artery perforations, or tears in the blood vessels of the heart.

3. Avita Medical received approval for its Recell Autologous Cell Harvesting Device for the treatment of severe thermal burns in patients 18 years or older.  

4. Xelpros, a drug manufactured by Sun Pharma, was approved to reduce open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
