Richard Shumway. Executive Director of University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics (Salt Lake City). Just this year, Mr. Shumway was appointed to his position of executive director of University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. In this role, he helped develop the state of Utah's first accredited comprehensive stroke center, as well as the development of the world's first intraoperative MRI suite used for stroke patients. Prior to taking on the executive directorship, Mr. Shumway held various other administrative roles at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics — including associate executive director and director of the clinical neurosciences center — as well as at UPMC in Pittsburgh and Seattle-based University of Washington Medical Center.
