Forty-two percent of radiologists supplement their work income with extra work, according to Medscape's "Radiologist Compensation Report," published May 24.
The report is based on survey responses from 7,000 U.S. physicians in more than 29 specialties collected between Oct. 2 and Jan. 16.
The figure marks a 6% increase from last year's report, which found 37% of radiologists were supplementing their income with outside work.
Of the radiologists supplementing their income, 7% said they were taking on work outside of the medical field, according to the 2024 report.
