The 5th annual World Patient Safety, Science and Technology Summit has sold out for the fifth consecutive year, according to a release from the Patient Safety Movement Foundation.
Healthcare leaders, technology forerunners, patient advocacy groups and others will meet in Dana Point, Calif., for the summit and discuss possible solutions to reduce the rates of preventable deaths in the healthcare setting.
During the summit, which will run from Feb. 3 to Feb. 4, the foundation will present the 2016 Humanitarian Awards and Patient Safety Innovation Awards, announce their newly updated Actionable Patient Safety Solutions and announce an update on healthcare organization commitments.
At the 2016 summit, PSMF announced the public commitments of 1,624 healthcare organizations to achieve the foundation's goal of zero preventable patient deaths by the year 2020.
