The Women's Choice Award has recognized 432 facilities as America's Best Hospitals for Obstetrics in 2016.
The referral source uses rigorous criteria to identify healthcare institutions for inclusion on the list of America's Best Hospitals for Obstetrics. The scoring process takes into consideration patient recommendations from HCAHPS surveys, low rates of early elective deliveries, national patient safety rankings and having an on-site neonatal intensive care unit.
According to Delia Passi, CEO and founder of the Women's Choice Award, the list simplifies the decision-making process for women when vetting which hospitals deliver outstanding patient experience.
Among the 432 hospitals recognized for their obstetrics programs are 50 facilities that have gone one step further and actually partnered with Women's Choice Award in their mission to raise the standard of healthcare for women and their families.
"The hospitals that carry our seal are the only ones that really take it to the next level," Ms. Passi told Becker's Hospital Review. "They work closely with Women's Choice Award to empower women in their community through advocacy and education."
