Vanderbilt UMC sets date for quality, patient safety forum

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., is hosting a daylong forum on quality and patient safety on July 29.

Attendees will hear from members of the Vanderbilt Department of Quality, Safety and Risk Prevention, as well as other Vanderbilt experts, about enterprisewide quality and safety performance goals.

The forum will also give attendees the chance to examine deficiencies in their own departments and explore potential solutions.

Major focuses of the forum will include infection prevention measures, national patient safety goals and patient rights, medication management, environmental safety concerns, care activities and patient-centered communication.
