UC Davis patient tests negative for Ebola

The patient admitted to the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif., on Thursday with Ebola-like symptoms has tested negative for the virus.

UC Davis Medical Center CMO J. Douglas Kirk, MD, confirmed the patient is in good condition and continues to receive ongoing medical care.

Currently, there have been no confirmed cases of Ebola in California and there is no threat to the general public.
