On May 6, the University of California, Davis Children's Hospital opened its Recurrent MRSA Clinic dedicated to the treatment of community-associated recurrent methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
Dean Blumberg, MD, chief of pediatric infectious diseases at UC Davis, developed the clinic after noting an increase in recurrent CA-MRSA over the past five years.
"I developed this clinic to provide parents with the right resources to fight it once and for all so they can get back to their day-to-day lives," Dr. Blumberg said in a news release.
