U.S. News & World Report has published its 24th annual Best Hospitals rankings, which recognize up to 50 hospitals that excel in each of 16 medical specialties based on safety measures and other objective data as well as physicians' perceptions of the best hospitals.
The 2013-2014 rankings include an Honor Roll list of 18 hospitals that had top scores in at least six out of the 16 specialties. U.S. News & World Report also published new regional rankings of high-performing hospitals in each state and nearly 100 metro areas. The list of the Best Children's Hospitals was published last month.
