On Thursday, the Therapeutic Research Center — a provider of digital medication learning materials for healthcare providers — launched a new online resource for hospital nurses to assist these frontline care providers in reducing medication errors and cutting medication-related readmissions.
The resource, called Nurse's Letter, provides nurses with information for new medications and updated guidelines regarding the best methods for effective communication with patients regarding medication adherence. The resource will be updated monthly.
"Until now, we provided medication learning only to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and prescribers," said TRC CEO Wes Crews. "I am pleased to announce that with Nurse's Letter we are expanding that medication learning to nurses, which fills an education void in today's healthcare organizations, effectively extending the pharmacist to the nurse."
