The Joint Commission has released a prepublication standard for medication management to bring the standard into alignment with CMS.
A change in CMS conditions of participation prompted the Joint Commission to revise the language of the medication standard to keep it consistent with the requirements in the organization's "Leadership" chapter of its accreditation manual.
