The CDC flu report: 4 things to know

In the week ending Nov. 10, 35 states reported sporadic influenza activity; three states reported regional activity; 10 states reported local flu activity; and two states reported no activity, according to the CDC's most recent FluView report

Four things to know:

1. One state reported moderate influenzalike illness activity; five states reported low influenzalike illness activity; and 44 states reported minimal influenzalike illness activity.

2. The proportion of outpatient visits for influenzalike illness increased slightly to 1.9 percent, below the national baseline of 2.2 percent. One of 10 regions reported influenzalike illness at or above their region-specific baseline level.

3. The number of deaths linked to pneumonia and influenza fell below the system-specific epidemic threshold in the National Center for Health Statistics Mortality Surveillance System.

4. No influenza-associated pediatric deaths were reported to the CDC for the week ending Nov. 10.
