Study: Hospitals' Surgical Quality Differs for Cancer, Non-Cancer Patients

Cancer patients may have different surgical outcomes than non-cancer patients, according to a study reported by the American College of Surgeons.

Researchers analyzed data from the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program to determine the difference in surgical outcomes between cancer and non-cancer patients at 309 hospitals from 2007 to 2011.
