Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center welcomed two health systems to its Stakeholders, Technology and Research Clinical Research Network.
The new additions are Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine, a leading academic medical center, and Duluth, Minn.-based Essentia Health, a 14-hospital system.
Vanderbilt's STAR Clinical Research Network has directed studies on the relationship between COVID-19 and diabetes, aspirin efficacy trials and COVID-19 treatment interventions, according to a Jan. 10 news release from VUMC. The network focuses on efficacy studies, clinical trials, health system innovation and patient outcomes.
Other members include Vanderbilt Healthcare Affiliated Network; Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn.; UNC Health in Chapel Hill, N.C.; Duke Health Care System in Durham, N.C.; Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston; Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, N.C.; Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.; and Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, Calif.
