The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is seeking research proposals for preventing healthcare-associated infections and combating antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Funding applications are due by Sept. 25 for demonstration and dissemination projects and due by Oct. 5 for large research projects.
For both grant categories, HAI projects should address new ways to detect, prevent and reduce infections. Antibiotic-resistant bacteria projects should demonstrate ways to promote appropriate antibiotic use, reduce the transmission of resistant bacteria or prevent HAIs.
