Proventix has identified nearly 100 individual healthcare workers as "Hand Hygiene All-Americans" for demonstrating safety, quality and leadership in their hand hygiene practices.
This is the first year Proventix is presenting this award honoring healthcare workers observed by Proventix's nGage radio frequency identification badge system to increase hand hygiene compliance.
To qualify for the award, healthcare workers must have more than 1,500 hours of observed RFID badge time, more than 3,000 patient room visits and an "exceptional" compliance ranking.
"Proventix congratulates the 2014 Hand Hygiene All-Americans for their recognition as leaders in quality improvement," said Harvey Nix, Proventix CEO, in a news release. "Hand hygiene is a key behavior that can have rippling effects on many other quality events in a hospital. These individuals lead by example and are a great asset to the healthcare industry."
