The Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council has released a report detailing the state of Pennsylvania's hospitals.
The report details mortality, readmission and admission rates and Medicaid payments for 16 conditions reported for western, southeastern and central and northeastern regions of the state.

The largest mortality improvement statewide was in sepsis management; sepsis mortality decreased from 18.3 percent in 2007 to 13.7 percent in 2012. Readmission decreased for half of the conditions for which readmissions were analyzed, according to a news release.
