The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute has approved an extra $300 million in funding between September and December for patient-centered outcomes research projects.
This year, PCORI has already awarded nearly $90 million in broad funding and has committed $30 million to preventing patient falls, according to a PCORI blog post.
The $300 million will come in part from future years of funding, as some projects span multiple years and will receive funding in the future.
For an outline of payment schedules and projects, please see PCORI's website.
