The Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality offers a video and handout aimed at helping patients better engage in preventing blood clots.
The two-page handout, that covers what a blood clot is, how they can be prevented and what to do if a blood clot is suspected, is available in English and large-print versions, as well as in Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Nepali.
The video, titled "How Do I Prevent Blood Clots?" includes patients talking about their experience as well as physicians from Johns Hopkins.
