The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services offers complimentary checklists to evaluate healthcare providers' performance on indwelling catheter insertion.
The checklists assess critical behaviors and performance criteria of healthcare providers for inserting indwelling urinary catheters, as well as offer space to outline an action plan, if deemed necessary. Observable critical behaviors include hand hygiene protocols, patient engagement and comfort levels and procedural guidelines.
The CHFS offers a different checklist for male and female indwelling catheter insertion.
