Patient safety tool: Flu planning exercise

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released an interactive tool for healthcare stakeholders to gauge their preparedness for flu-related patient surges.

The exercise, Pan Flu Scramble Exercise, asks players to coordinate their response to an influenza pandemic scenario in which the number of patients seeking care exceeds their ability to provide timely and adequate care.
