The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has published a toolkit for organizations to use to develop interventions to control carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae.
Most CRE cases in the United States are caused by Kebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase, a dangerous, antibiotic-resistant germ. The AHRQ funded leading KPC researchers to develop the toolkit.
