Oregon psych hospital patient missing for 2nd time

A psychiatric patient has escaped from Oregon State Hospital in Junction City for the second time in two years, according to The Register-Guard.

Hospital officials reported Peace Dawn-Owl Wickham, 34, missing Oct. 14. Mr. Wickham walked away from a group activity and has not been seen since.

Mr. Wickham was admitted to the psychiatric hospital in 2016 after being found guilty except for insanity for second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a restricted weapon.

In October 2017, Mr. Wickham ran away from a treatment group and was found the next day by police, The Register-Guard reports.

Oregon State Hospital did not immediately respond to Becker's request for comment.
