Axial Exchange has released the New York Patient Engagement Index, which ranks New York hospitals according to patient engagement.
The index determines patient engagement scores based on data in three categories: personal health management, patient satisfaction and social media engagement. Of 83 hospitals assessed, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City tied for first place with a score of 72 out of 100. Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, also in New York City, received a score of zero.
The New York PEI follows the release of indexes for Florida, Texas and California. Axial Exchange plans to release other state indexes in the coming months.
