National Quality Forum Elects 5 New Board Members

The National Quality Forum announced the election of five new members to its board of directors.

The board includes 31 voting members who represent major stakeholders in the healthcare system. The new members began their terms Nov. 29 and will serve a three-year term.




Here are the five new members:

•    Jack Cochran, MD, executive director of The Permanente Federation, based in Oakland, Calif.
•    Joyce Dubow, senior healthcare reform director in the Association of American Retired Persons' office of the executive vice-president for policy and strategy.
•    Bill Kramer, executive director for national health policy at the Pacific Business Group on Health in San Francisco.
•    Elizabeth Mitchell, CEO of the Maine Health Management Coalition in Portland.
•    Bruce Siegel, MD, MPH, president and CEO of the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems.
