The National Patient Safety Foundation has announced the appointment of new members to its board of directors and board of governors.
Rick Boothman, University of Michigan Health System's chief risk officer, and Helen Haskell, the president of Mothers Against Medical Error, will serve three-year terms on the NPSF board of directors. Both come to the position from previous appointments on the board of governors.

Board of governors appointees include Michigan Health & Hospital Association Senior Vice President for Patient Safety and Quality and MHA Keystone Center for Patient Safety and Quality Executive Director Sam R. Watson and Covidien Respiratory and Monitoring Systems President Robert J. White.
