National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems member CEOs and clinical leaders will meet over the next two months to find solutions to quality disparities in the U.S. healthcare system.
Teams from 30 NAPH hospitals in the NAPH Safety Network will collaborate at meetings in Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles. The network is a hospital engagement network for CMS' Partnership for Patients, a national effort to improve healthcare by reducing nine hospital-acquired conditions by 40 percent and preventable readmissions by 20 percent by the end of 2013.
"Following our in-depth quality improvement education sessions, NSN hospital leaders will return to their organizations with a fresh perspective and new ideas about how to improve care for safety net patients," said Jill Steinbruegge, MD, PhD, senior vice president for leadership and innovation at NAPH.
