The Institute for Safe Medication Practices has partnered with the American Hospital Association and Health Research & Educational Trust to launch the 2011 Medication Safety Self Assessment for Hospitals, an online assessment designed to track medication safety progress, according to an AHA news release.
The self-assessment will allow respondents to compare their results with aggregate results of other organizations. The 2000 and 2004 assessments have helped hospitals improve medication safety, according to the release.
The AHA encourages all hospitals to participate. The deadline for submissions is Aug. 31, 2011.
