Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic honored two longtime employees with the Mayo Clinic Diamond Quality Fellow Lifetime Achievement Award at the hospital's annual quality conference, according to the Post Bulletin.
Cardiologist Dennis Manning, MD, and pediatrician Randall Linton, MD, earned the quality improvement award after being nominated by their peers.

"Dr. Linton and Dr. Manning are so deserving of the Diamond Quality Award," said Nneka Comfere, MD, medical director of Mayo Clinic Quality Academy. "They have identified opportunities for quality improvement and taken the necessary steps to champion and lead those improvement efforts. The result is better care for Mayo Clinic patients."
