PurThread Technologies and Kodak have entered into a joint development agreement to further integrate Kodak's antimicrobial technology to PurThread's products, offering hard surface antimicrobial options for healthcare and military settings.
The partnership will offer continuously-active surface solutions geared toward healthcare settings by next year, according to a news release.

The partnership has already yielded several soft surface solutions, including an antimicrobial privacy curtain which resists contamination seven times longer than curtains of standard fabric, according to the release.
PurThread, a manufacturer of antimicrobial textiles and antimicrobial textile products, holds exclusive rights to Kodak's antimicrobial silver-based technology. The company won the 2013 TechAmerica Award, a recognition from the TechAmerica foundation for the best products and services from the technology industry as judged by industry experts and leaders.
