Joint Commission Offers Portal on CMS Conditions of Participation

Joint Commission Resources, an affiliate of The Joint Commission, offers CMSAccess, an online portal for information related to Medicare certification for hospitals.

CMSAccess provides the following tools:


•    Links to CMS guidelines, Conditions of Participation, transmittals, interactive forms, publications, survey processes and more.
•    Key word search for tools related to CoPs.
•    Interactive forms, survey-related checklists and other tools.
•    Ability to print, download and email documents.
•    Email alerts from CMS, Office of Inspector General and Federal Register.
•    Education training modules on the Medicare hospital survey process, medical staff, governing body and how to complete form 2567.

Annual subscriptions for CMSAccess are available for both accredited and non-accredited hospitals. JCR plans to extend the resource to programs beyond the hospital program in the future based on customer demand.
