The Joint Commission, in collaboration with Joint Commission Resources and Joint Commission International, has developed a new monograph that focuses on preventing central-line bloodstream infections.
The monograph contains the most current information, evidence-based guidance and resources to help healthcare organizations reduce the current risks and resulting harm associated with central line-associated bloodstream infections. The monograph is available on The Joint Commission's website.
The second phase of this project will feature a toolkit designed to support organizations as they seek to reduce CLABSI rates. It will include evidence- and expert-based interventions, guidelines and resources to address CLABSI.
