The Joint Commission announced its affiliate, Joint Commission Resources, launched a consulting service for readmission reduction.
The Reducing Readmissions Consulting service will use JCR's experience working with hospitals through CMS' Partnership for Patients initiative and other programs to help hospitals reduce readmissions. JCR will conduct site visits and virtual consulting to determine hospitals' needs, conduct a gap analysis, advise on best practices, identify risk points, educate staff and measure progress, according to the news release.
