The Institute of Medicine announced the election of seven members to the governing council for a three-year term beginning Jan. 1.
The IOM council is chaired by the IOM president and includes 20 members. The six new members include the following:
• Nancy Andrews, PhD, MD, Duke University School of Medicine North Carolina
• Mark C. Fishman, MD, Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research
• Lynn R. Goldman, MD, MPH, The George Washington University
• Arthur L. Kellermann, MD, MPH, The RAND Corporation
• E. Albert Reece, MBA, MD, PhD, University of Maryland School of Medicine
• Keith R. Yamamoto, PhD, University of California, San Francisco
Ellen Wright Clayton, JD, MD, is a returning member.
