IDSA launches U.S. Stakeholder Forum on Antimicrobial Resistance

The Infectious Diseases Society of America launched the U.S. Stakeholder Forum on Antimicrobial Resistance, according to an AHA News report.

The forum aims at informing federal policy on the issue of antimicrobial resistance. The group is calling for a national strategy to address the issue, among other goals.

The American Hospital Association is one of more than 75 healthcare and other organizations engaging with the new group. In July, the AHA, along with six national partners, released a toolkit to help hospitals and health systems improve their antimicrobial stewardship programs.
