Hospitals that are participating in Medicare's Hospital Outpatient Quality Data Reporting Program must submit data for two structural measures by Aug. 15, according to a QualityNet announcement.
The new structural measures cover performance period Jan. 1-June 30. Hospital participants must submit data on whether they were able to receive laboratory data directly into their electronic health record system as discrete searchable data. Submission of data for this measure is required for calendar year 2012 payments.
Hospitals can also voluntarily submit data on tracking clinical results between visits. All data submissions must be made on QualityNet.
