The HHS Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is seeking nominations for new experts to serve on the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force beginning in January 2019.
The task force consists of an independent panel of experts who use evidence to make recommendations about preventive healthcare.
The HHS outlined several areas of expertise required to qualify for the position, including the critical evaluation of research published in peer-reviewed journals, clinical prevention, health promotion, implementation of evidence-based recommendations in clinical practice and primary healthcare.
Additionally, the HHS seeks candidates who are experts in public health, health equity and the reduction of health disparities, application of science to health policy, behavioral medicine and communication of scientific findings across multiple audiences.
Nominations must be received by May 15th to be considered for the January 2019 appointment.
