The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has scheduled a meeting in May to discuss the development and licensure of Ebola vaccines.
At the meeting, the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee will provide advice and recommendations on the FDA's regulatory issues surrounding Ebola vaccines.
The World Health Organization also announced an independent advisory board will meet and decide whether to recommend widespread introduction of the Ebola vaccine, although WHO's decision is unlikely to be announced before August.
