The ECRI Institute's Patient Safety Organization will collaborate with the Virginia Patient Safety Organization to analyze adverse event data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association and the Virginia Hospital Research & Education Foundation.
Results of the analysis will be made available to Virginia healthcare providers to improve the quality and safety of care, according to a release.
"We are very excited about this new partnership with ECRI Institute, whose broad experience with adverse event issues will help to accelerate safety improvement in Virginia," said Abraham Segres, MHA, vice president of quality and patient safety at the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association, in the release.
