Global biopharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb has partnered with Durham, N.C-based Duke (University) Clinical Research Institute to expand access to clinical trial information, encouraging a more transparent data sharing effort, according to a news release.
Researchers who meet pre-specified requirements can request clinical trial information from studies sponsored by Bristol-Myers Squibb and obtain an independent scientific review from DCRI, according to the news release.
Clinical trial information such as protocols, full clinical study reports and anonymous patient-level data will be made available.
"Bristol-Myers Squibb's collaboration with DCRI reflects our commitment to providing broader, more timely access to important clinical trial information and serves as a catalyst to strengthening public confidence in medicines, advancing science and improving public health," said Francis Cuss, MB BChir, executive vice president and chief scientific officer of Bristol-Myers Squibb, in the news release.
