Erin S. Dupree, MD, has been appointed CMO and vice president of the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare.
Dr. DuPree has left a post as CMO and senior vice president for medical affairs at The Mount Sinai Medial Center in New York City. She has previously worked with The Joint Commission as a physician leader in the Center for Transforming Healthcare's project to reduce wrong-site surgery, according to a news release.
The Center for Transforming Healthcare has projects in hand-hygiene compliance, reducing miscommunication among providers, reducing surgical-site infections, improving patient safety culture, preventing falls, using insulin safely, preventing avoidable heart failure hospitalizations and reducing sepsis mortality, according to the news release.
