CMS updating QualityNet to reflect reduced 2017 eCQM requirements

CMS is working on updates to QualityNet — the agency's only approved website for secure healthcare quality data exchange — to reflect changes to the 2017 electronic clinical quality measure reporting requirements, according to AHA News Now.

This month, CMS issued a final rule decreasing the number of eCQMs and calendar quarters hospitals are required to report for 2017. QualityNet, as of yet, hasn't been updated to reflect this change. CMS said it will alert hospitals and vendors when the updates have been made.
