CMS is seeking comments on two proposed hospital quality measures for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The two COPD measures for comment relates to 30-day, all-cause mortality following hospitalization for acute exacerbation of COPD and 30-day, all-cause readmission following hospitalization for acute exacerbation of COPD. CMS contracted with Yale New Haven Health Services Corporation/Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation to develop the two quality outcomes measures.
