CMS has launched a pilot for hospitals participating in the federal electronic health record quality reporting program, according to an InformationWeek report.
Hospitals can attest to meeting meaningful use criteria and electronically send quality data from their EHRs to CMS from the beginning of October through November. CMS will then use the submitted data to determine incentive payments for fiscal year 2012.
