CMS extended the deadline for skilled nursing facilities to submit assessment-based quality measures to address technical issues in the reporting program, according to an update the agency released Tuesday.
The new deadline for submission of assessment-based quality measures — which include measures on patient falls and pressure ulcers — for the first three quarters of calendar year 2017 has been extended to May 15, 2018, which aligns with the reporting deadline for the fourth quarter of 2017.
The agency expects to resolve the technical reporting issues by early September.
