CMS Defers Data Collection for 3 OQR Measures

CMS will implement hospital outpatient quality reporting program measures OP-29, OP-30 and OP-31 with a three-month delay.

The measures, appropriate follow-up interval for normal colonoscopy in average risk patients, colonoscopy interval for patients with a history of adenomatous polyps (avoidance of inappropriate use) and improvement in patient's visual function with 90 days following cataract surgery, respectively, will be implemented with data collection beginning April 1, 2014.
