The CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices shared updated flu vaccine recommendations for the 2019-20 season in its most recent Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report published Aug. 23.
The committee still recommends healthcare providers offer flu shots to everyone 6 months and older with no contraindications by the end of October.
Updated recommendations reflect FDA changes for the age indication of the Afluria Quadrivalent vaccine and approved dosages of the Fluzone Quadrivalent vaccine.
