The "National Healthcare Safety Network Report, Data Summary for 2011, Device-Associated Module" includes data on events that occurred in 2011 and were reported to the CDC by Aug. 1, 2012. The device-associated infections include central line-associated primary bloodstream infections, ventilator-associated pneumonias and urinary catheter-associated urinary tract infections.
