May 5 is World Hand Hygiene Day. To celebrate the occasion, the CDC has launched Clean Hands Count, a campaign to boost hand-washing and reduce healthcare-associated infections.
More specifically, the campaign has three main goals:
- Improve healthcare provider adherence to CDC hand hygiene recommendations
- Address and debunk any myths or misperceptions about hand hygiene
- Empower patients to engage in their care by asking or reminding healthcare providers to clean their hands
The CDC created posters, factsheets and brochures for the campaign, as well as infographics for healthcare providers and patients. Check out the provider infographic below.
