CDC Announces 104 Employers for National Healthy Worksite Program

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the selection of 104 employers in eight counties across the country to participate in the National Healthy Worksite Program to combat chronic disease and improve workers' health.

The program, which is supported through the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's Prevention and Public Health Fund, will help employers develop workplace wellness programs to help reduce the rate of chronic disease and increase healthy behaviors such as good nutrition and exercise.

Viridian Health Management will provide program and implementation support to participating employers over 12 months.
